Improve at Poker with Cardrunners

When I wrote my last entry, I talked about GrinderSchool, a training site that makes poker videos for those new to money poker sites. Today’s entry will discuss Cardrunners, likely the most successful and respected training site online today. The site was developed by Taylor Caby and Andrew Wiggins, and in 2008 they formed a partnership with the Full Tilt download. The site has a large selection of online poker videos for almost any buy-in you want to learn about.

If you make an account at Cardrunners, you’ll be able to view a small amount of free poker training, but you’ll need to pay a membership fee to see anything worthwhile. You might find the fees a bit high, especially if you’re a low stakes player, because first you get charged $100 to sign up, and then you must pay $30 per month to keep accessing the site. Serious players on an Everest Poker download will learn that all the fees are worth it, though. Right now there is an excess of 1800 videos available for your viewing pleasure, and each week a minimum of seven new ones are released.

Like a lot of the sites out there, the strength of Cardrunners is in their cash game coverage. They have a great variety of 6 max videos on top Texas Hold'em sites due to its popularity, and their No Limit Holdem Full Ring selection has widened when compared with a year or two ago. If you prefer Heads-Up or Limit games, you’ll also have a very good selection of videos to view.

If you like Sit-N-Go’s or you’re a fan of poker flash tournaments, Cardrunners won’t be the number one choice since their specialty is definitely cash games. You’ll still find plenty of tournament videos, however, and they cover pretty much every buy-in. If you play a mix of cash and tournaments, Cardrunners is an excellent site because they still offer a lot of videos for tournaments and Sit-N-Go’s to go along with their first class ring game catalog.

If you’re into Omaha thanks to the PokerStars bonus code, Cardrunners offers some of the highest quality videos out of all the sites today. This is also true for other games like Draw and Razz. You might be slightly disappointed with your choices if Omaha is your game of choice, but Cardrunners definitely has the best selection of videos for other games out of all the training sites out there.

Once you’ve gotten some good practice with free poker no downloads, Cardrunners is a great choice if you are okay with paying for some high quality training videos. They’re definitely the number one option for ring game enthusiasts, and if you become interested in tournaments, they’ll have something for you, too. All in all, you can’t go wrong with putting your money into a Cardrunners membership.
